Apple will announce the release of its eagerly awaited iPhone 6 in two weeks, reports suggest.
A drawing of a phone displaying ‘Tuesday, September 9’ appeared on French website NowhereElse.
Previous reports suggested that Apple had been planning a ‘big’ media event on this date.
Metro’s technology editor James Day said: ‘I would expect Apple to announce one of its special events for that day very soon.’
As ever, the internet has been awash with news and rumours regarding the forthcoming release.
There are suggestions the new device will boast a new, reversible USB port, as well as beefing up its battery.
It’s also believed Apple will use sapphire glass for the iPhone 6’s screen, making it both scratchproof and smashproof. A relief for all smartphone owners currently using a cracked device…
