Newbie Velraj’s ‘Velai Illa Pattathari ’ featuring Dhanush and Amala Paul in the lead roles was released on July 18th which happens to be the 25th film of National Award Winning actor Dhanush (Raghuvaran). Amala Paul (Shalini) is the leading lady of this entertainer who is playing doctor role in this film named as Shalini. Samuthirakani and Saranya Ponvannan play a meaty role in this entertainer. VIP story is based on the backdrop of social responsibilities which highlights unemployment and the theme of a graduate who breaks down at the interval time. Raghuvaran is an unemployed graduate who is in dieheard need of a job who is not an exception to the present trend unemployment. Shalini happens to be a gorgeous girl who leads her life in a simple way like a girl next to the door. Jokes of the film will remind us about the unemployment theme. Raghuvaran strives heard to get the best job and makes himself on the right track. The first half of the entertainer is filled with enough twists and turns on unemployment as main theme. Will Raghuvaran makes his track perfect in finding a job? How Raghuvaran does handled the situations of jobless individual? All these questions will be answered on Big Screen.
Dhanush’s performance in this entertainer relates to the real life character of every graduate who faces unemployment in their career. Dhanush’s performance adds value to the script which is filled with enough twists and turns in the first half of the entertainer. None can escape without lauding Dhanush for his excellence in this entertainer. Once again he proved himself as master of emotions. Dhanush’s ‘Dabba Vandi’ is another attraction of this entertainer. Coming to the performance of the Actress Amala Paul she can be considered as captain of the VIP success ship after Dhanush. This is the first film of the actress released post her marriage. She raised the list of heartthrob fans of her with this entertainer. Samudhrakani and Saranya Ponvannan as Dhanush’s parents delivered their best along with debutant artist as family member.
Comedy actor Vivek chuckles the funny bones of the audience in the second half of the entertainer while Surabhi’s beauty is another addition to hook the audience to the chairs in the second half though the script is lagging. Hrishikesh as the actor’s brother has proved himself in this entertainer. Amitash sported a villain role opposite to the actor Dhanush. Though he tried his best to be perfect villain he missed to prove himself as a tough villain opposite to the actor.
Young music champ Anirudh deserves a wide round of applause for his best BGMs which fit the emotional scenes in this rom-com. Editing work of the second half could be finer to hook the audience to the chairs. Vivek’s ultimate comedy is another asset of this entertainer. Though Velraj is a debutant director he tried his best to reach the expectations of the audience. He tried his best to convey the message about the unemployment and the difficulties faced by the youth.
